ThirdAge Inc., announced today its Web site www.thirdage.com has been selected as an official honoree in the 10th Annual Best of the Web "Webby Awards." Webby Award nominees and winners are selected by members of The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, which evaluates Web sites against six criteria: content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity and overall experience. This year, more than 5,500 Web sites were submitted for judging, and fewer that 20 percent achieved the standard of excellence required to be designated an official honoree.

"We at ThirdAge.com are honored that our Web site has been recognized by our peers in the online community," said Sharon Whiteley, CEO of ThirdAge. "ThirdAge represents a powerful constituency of aging baby boomers and mid-lifers who are playing an ever-more-prominent role on the Web. We think it is our job to give our hundreds of thousands of members a home in the online world. We are committed to providing them with relevant, dynamic content, via a Web site that is visually interesting and easy to navigate. Being selected as an official honoree fuels our determination to excel even more."

The 10th Annual Webby Award Competition is open to all organizations and individuals involved in designing and building as well as managing, maintaining and marketing or promoting Web sites for business, consumer or general audiences. To be eligible, Web sites entered must have been in general use for at least part of calendar year of 2005 and be live and accessible from the time of entry through June 2006.
