Paul McCartney, 68 Yes, you read that right: 68. And astonishingly, he still looks almost as young and baby-faced as he did when the Beatles sold out Shea Stadium to a screaming crowd of fans in 1964. And his music has remained just as direct as his classic Yesterday, which has been covered by more artists2,200than any song in the history of recorded music. Although McCartneys boyish charm has lured hundreds of women over the decades, the love of his life was his wife, Linda. The two were married 29 years until Linda died of breast cancer. In 2006, eight years after Lindas death, McCartney entered into an unfortunate marriage to former model Heather Mills, 32, and divorced her in 2008. Now, though, hes got a new girlfriend, New Yorker Nancy Shevell, who is a sensible 50 and has money of her own. And hes still touring, playing Beatles hits as well as his own music, and thanking fans who give him a standing ovation after every number.

Eric Clapton, 65

Its not a clich to call Eric Clapton a survivor: In the 1970s, he was addicted to heroin, preferring for a time to stay and home and get high instead of recording or appearing in concerts. (He did make it to one big show, The Concert for Bangladesh, where he passed out on stage and, after reviving, continued to perform.) And after he quit heroin, he began drinking heavily. Not a recipe for longevity, but somehow Clapton pulled through. Hes generally acknowledged to be one of the greatest guitarists in rock history; his recordings with his 1960s group Cream still sound good after forty-plus years. Today, hes going for a low-key blues sound, and his latest album (unimaginative title: Clapton) has cracked the top ten on iTunes. And he looks as sexy as he did years (and years) ago, soft-spoken and thoughtfulbut still wielding a mean guitar.

Sting, 59

Hes got one of the most recognizable voices in rock: a melancholy, high-pitched tone that makes everything he sings about sound slightly mournful (actually, most of the time it is). The Police, his 1980s punk/reggae group, recorded several hits, including Roxanne, Message In A Bottle, and Every Breath You Take. As a solo performer, his biggest hit was the poignant Fields of Gold. Over the years, Stings kept his hair blonde and his body sculpted. Hes a big yoga fan, and maybe that interest created the rumor that he and wife Trudie Styler (they have four kids) indulged in hours-long sessions of tantric sex. Sting, laughing, said it wasnt tantric sex, it was frantic sex. Yeah, he said jokingly, seven hours of sex a night. In fact its more like four hours of begging, then a movie and then dinner. We think that leaves about fifteen minutes.

Mick Jagger, 67

Once upon a time, Jagger told an interviewer that he didnt want to be forty and prancing around on a stage. Well, hes getting close to seventy and not only is he still prancing, hes still recording, and hes still with the same group. (The Rolling Stones, the bad-boy counterpart to the Beatles in the 1960s, wrote and recorded some truly legendary songs, including Satisfaction and Sympathy For the Devil.) Anyone whos seen Jagger in the past few years knows that his body and his moves seem look as lithe and seductive as they ever were. His face isnt that great in fact, he was once famously compared to Don Knotts of The Andy Griffith Show but his magnetism is undeniable. Hes still not looking to settle down, though. Jaggers been married twice and has fathered seven children by four women; maybe thats enough for now.
