Sara Gilbert, once known for playing a bratty little daughter on Rosanne, is set to host a new talk show on the CBS network. Aimed at mothers, the daytime talk show is already expected to be a big hit with boomers who are familiar with her work.
The new television show is focused on mothers and the many issues that come along with motherhood. She will be joined by Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini, and Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Gilbert developed and will executive produce the show, which is scheduled to appear on CBS.
Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur are to star in a new U.S. daily chat show, CBS said.
The network said it has ordered the 1-hour daytime talk show for the fall.
The six co-hosts are expected to examine topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of mothers.
"The co-hosts -- moms with children ranging in age from infant to adult -- will swap stories, challenge each other on issues and engage the studio audience and viewers at home about events in the headlines and their own homes through the lens of motherhood," CBS said in a news release Wednesday. "Show segments will include guest interviews with entertainers and newsmakers, live remotes from the field and personal home footage shot by the co-hosts themselves."
