  • Quelques Fleurs I dont remember how I started using this, but I know I was wearing it when I started dating my husband, and he says its the reason we got married. Seriously. When he describes how we met, he always mentions how intoxicating I smelt that night. I never have to buy it myself either. I get it as a gift whenever Im running low. Gail, 52
  • Patchouli Oil I know it's a 'hippy, back in the day' scent, but I'm still pretty partial to a good patchouli oil. It has to be earthy, but not overwhelming. It needs to be applied delicately and sparingly. Why? Good memories for me as well for others. I was wearing some oil many years ago and stepped into an elevator where a woman was already standing. She took a deep breath and sighed with a smile and quietly said, "Dave Neuman, 1976." She thanked me for reminding her of him! It was pretty great! Carol, 46
  • Happy by Clinique I wear this because it has a citrus-y smell that reminds me of when I used to live in California right next to the orange groves. Its especially comforting now, in winter, when its so cold and dreary. At least I smell warm and sunny! Joyce, 55
  • Obsession for Men by Calvin Klein This is the scent that my husband, who passed away 11 years ago, used to wear. Now, when I wear it, it makes him seem close by and its comforting. Patricia, 76
  • Red Door by Elizabeth Arden I actually first got this as a gift and have been using it ever since. Nothing Id worn had ever got me stopped before, but once I started using Red Door, people would walk into the shop where I worked and say What's that beautiful smell? Its a good value for your money too. Donna, 57
  • Acqua di Gioia by Giorgio Armani I used to use Chanel No. 5, but when this came out, I had to switch. I think its pretty obvious why. Gioia, 42
  • White Diamonds By Elizabeth Taylor My sister started wearing this fragrance and I loved it. That year, she gave me a set of the perfume and lotion for my birthday and Ive been hooked ever since. Were a two-hour plane ride away from each other, so its okay that we both wear it. Paula, 64
  • Jo Malone, French Lime Blossom I wear this because its beautiful and romantic, but not overwhelming. I like to smell nice, but I dont want to drown anyone in my scent. Ive also been told that it smells very clean and fresh.Whats your favorite perfume?About the author: Barbara Sharnak is an entertainment/lifestyle producer and writer.
