Dr. Mitchell is a licensed nutritionist, registered dietitian, fellow of the American Dietetic Association, and a nationally recognized authority on nutrition and stress. Her innovative approach to eating well and feeling better is changing lifestyles at work and in homes across the country. You can listen to her on Orlando's News Talk AM 580 WDBO with Jim Turner, where she's been the nutrition expert for over 10 years.

Dr. Mitchell has appeared on NBC's "Today" show, CNN, the Health Network and the Food Network. A reliable source to the media, she is quoted extensively in Reader's Digest, Time, Redbook, Fitness and Cooking Light. Dr. Mitchell is the co-author of Fat Is Not Your Fate (Simon & Schuster, 2005), "I'd Kill for a Cookie," (Penguin, 1997) and Eat to Stay Young (Kensington, 2000), and is a contributing author to Macmillan Reference USA's Nutrition and Well-Being A to Z (Thomson Gale, 2004).

Dr. Mitchell earned her Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee and taught nutrition and health science at the University of Central Florida for over eight years. She has two four-legged kids named Gatlin and Pepper. She also loves to cook, and freely admits to being a chocoholic, saying that in realistic amounts most any food can be part of a healthy diet.
