Changes Afoot

A number of things are developing in the sky that suggest exciting changes in store for many by the time summer draws to a close. The next new moon occurs on August 1 in the sign of Leo, and it's a solar eclipse. This alone is enough to signal changes ahead for many people. In my experience, eclipses most often bring exciting or surprising changes in the houses affected based on the solar chart rather than the natal chart. In other words, you can get a sense of the potential effects based on your sun sign. Below is a brief list of the signs and potential areas of change or excitement at the new moon in August or in the month following:

Aries: New excitement in the area of a creative project. Changes in your relationship with your children. Developing an interest in a new hobby or leisure pursuit. A surprise romantic attraction.

Taurus: An exciting new emotional beginning regarding your home (e.g., selling or buying a house). Changes in your relationship with your parents. Developing a new interest in your roots or family history. A surprise announcement from a family member.

Gemini: An exciting change in your daily environment (e.g., someone new enters your circle). Changes in your neighborhood or a change of neighbors. Changes in your relationship with a sibling or with other close relatives. A surprise offer of travel or an educational opportunity. Developing a new intellectual interest or taking up a new form of communication (such as blogging).

Cancer: Excitement regarding new resources or forms of income. Becoming aware of changes in your values. Acquiring new possessions. Surprising news regarding your finances.

Leo: An exciting new intuition or insight regarding yourself and what you want out of life. Changes in how you appear or present yourself (e.g., a dramatic new haircut or image makeover). Developing new self-presentation skills (e.g., learning how to speak in public). A surprising change in your attitude toward something long-standing in your life.

Virgo: Exciting news regarding a potential new life cycle (e.g., learning that a company buy-out plan could allow you to retire earlier than expected). Spiritual insights. Developing new understanding of the things in your psyche that have held you back in life. Being surprised to learn the identity of a 'hidden enemy.'

Libra: Exciting news regarding a hope, wish or long-term goal. Changes in your relationship with a friend. Developing a new social network. A surprise announcement in a group that you belong to.

Scorpio: An exciting opportunity to appear before the public or become more visible in your community. A change in your career path. Developing a new role or participating more actively in community affairs. A surprising change in status or reputation.

Sagittarius: An exciting chance to broaden your horizons. Changes in your religious orientation or perspective. Developing new intellectual interests. A surprising educational or travel opportunity.

Capricorn: A windfall, bonus, or other exciting change in your financial status. Changes in a sexual relationship. Developments regarding insurance settlements, credit or debt-related matters or joint finances. A surprising announcement from an intimate partner.

Aquarius: The beginning of an exciting partnership. Changes in the self that lead to changes in your relationships with significant others (such as a spouse). Developing a new project that brings you into greater contact with the public. An opportunity to join forces with other people to work toward a significant goal.

Pisces: Changes in your job situation, such as taking on new duties. A health breakthrough. Developing an interest in new volunteer activities. Getting a new pet.

This list doesn't exhaust the possibilities by any means. But the basic idea is this. The skies are primed for change over the next month or so. If you'd like to take advantage of this, plant seeds.
