The time it takes for a broken ankle to heal is directly related to the severity of the "break".If the ankle is minor and just slightly fractured it could heal in less than 6 weeks with proper medical procedures. But if the ankle has an offset fracture it could take longer than 6 weeks. If the ankle is completely broken it will require surgical realignment and setting. Recovery time from surgery can be several months.
