Some people advocate the use of apple cider vinegar mixed with honey to dissolve calcium deposits in the joints, while others suggest a low calcium diet. The first has not been proven effective and low calcium diets carry the risk of causing osteoporosis. The most effective ways to remove calcium deposits are surgical. One process uses needles to flush them away with saline and another uses shock waves to break them up. Both are very effective. A last resort procedure is arthroscopic surgery to remove them. While it has the best success rate, it's complicated and has a long recuperation time.
