Anti-Aging Remedies...

I've heard that there are serums that you can apply topically to ward off the signs of aging. But I've also heard that most of them are expensive and that there's little evidence to support their claims. Instead of going through a try-it-out crapshoot, I was hoping that a fellow ThirdAger might be able to point me to one that's worked for them. Any luck?

Anti-Aging

Its understandable that people nowadays are more conscious about how they would look 20 yrs down the road. I have seen a lot of people trying hard to look younger, trying different kind of cosmetics and laser therapies but all in vain. But I guess today new technologies are being tried out and things are improving drastically. Recently I heard of someone called Elixxir and visited his site elixxir.com as well. He seems to be an anti aging guru who is making a difference going by the way he looks at 50. Have any of tried his program and if so what are your thoughts.
When I saw those results I did some more research and found that the product is an eating program based on a scientific anti-aging eating program. It is believed to producte permanent lifelong weight loss and also claims to slash one's risk for cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, obesity thereby extending maximum lifespan by up to 50%. And apparently the good part is there are no meals or supplements you have to buy forever. It’s an eating program and all-natural.

Seems like something that is very good. Have a look and let me know what you think.

BIRDINGALONE

My mother-in-law had a beautiful complexion until the day she died. We never discussed what she did to look so young, BUT when we packed up all her things, I found 8 bottles of Oil of Olay. Being rather thrify, I took these bottles home & started to use them, & then continued this practice for over 30 years.

Today I have a complexion that is as great as my mother-in-laws, & I'm proud of being wrinkle free. I do have some laugh lines, which kinda can't be helped.

It takes 21 days to break a habit, but again, many, many years ago I was determined NOT to develop crease lines in my forehead from frowning (just above the center of the eyes), so I learned to NEVER frown & I have no crease lines on my forehead. If U squint from the sun, it'll also create these same exact lines, so I ALWAYS leave my sun-visor down while driving.

Rose Hip Seed Oil

I drink lots of water and herbal teas, get plenty of sleep, and use organic rose hip seed oil, which can be easily purchased via the internet. It's fantastic stuff - used for wrinkles and scars and blotchy skin, and not expensive like all those unnatural creams and lotions and potions that the majority of folks are using to ward off the effects of aging. Try some. I think you'll never go back to expensive unnatural products again.

Hi Pamela, the easiest way

Hi Pamela, the easiest way to stop aging is to stop wearing make up and drink lots of water and find a way to keep your body moving for several hours a day.

Make up clogs the pores in the face and so the skin wrinkles trying to get fresh air on it. Wash your face with fresh water and dont put creams on it, the makee up oil sticks to the skin and catches the dust and grime that floats in the air and sticks it to your face. Over time, the skin wrinkles with the oil and dust on it.

Pop drink has sugar in it, even fruit juice has sugar content in it. You would not grow an indoor plant on the pop or fruit juice so you should not put that into your body either, because your body is no different to the plant that grows on fresh air and clean water.

 Cheap, and easy to do.
