Question

Why is under Obamacare now only allowing women on Medicare/Medicaid to get Mammograms every other year?
I thought the liberal nut jobs removed that from Obamacare? My mother-in law who voted for Obumer was told she couldn't get a mamo this year. Hah? Who is trying to kill women? By the way I called Planned Parenthood and they don't have Mammograms or Cancer Screenings. I called the 1800 number on their website. LIES LIES LIES! LIBERALS ARE SUCH LIARS! Why do people believe these crazy people in DC!!????? YOU GUYS ARE BEING SO USED!

They're starting to ration care now. They've already delayed the breast and vaginal exam age so what's next?

I thought Planned Parenthood gave people this stuff. So if Obama Care gives it to them too, why do we need to subsidize Planned Parenthood? Hmmm

Unless you have a history or family history of breast issues a mammogram IS only needed ever second year. Same for a PAP test. If your MIL wants to subject her body to unnecessary tests she can still pay for one every second year. Makes sense to me, as a woman who's kept up on needs for my body. I do my medical through my physician not Planned Parenthood. On their site it CLEARLY states that a PP staff member can discuss breast healh with you and help you FIND the services you may need.

Planned Parenthood does have mammograms and cervical cancer screenings for women. Medicaid is government paid health services, paid for by all taxpayers. Medicaid has cut back on its benefits for the last 10 years, for example, ending dental services for adults. A woman over a certain age only needs a mammogram every other year. That is the real reason. Medicare and Medicaid are not the same. But no matter which one she has, you need a mammo only every two years unless there is a history of family breast cancer. You dont want too much radiation if it is not good for you.

What is Breast Cancer

Breast cancer is a disease in which cancer cells grow in the breast tissue.

Cancer occurs when cells in the body divide without control or order. If cells keep dividing uncontrollably, a mass of tissue forms. This is called a growth or tumor. The term cancer refers to malignant tumors. They can invade nearby tissue and spread to other parts of the body.

Although most people think of breast cancer as affecting women, men can develop breast cancer as well. Breast cancer in men can be more aggressive.
