5 Andrea Bocelli Duets

Celine Dion collaborated with Bocelli in her These Are Special Times television special in 1998. The two performed their duet single The Prayer, which was written for the animated film The Quest for Camelot, won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song and was nominated for an Oscar in the same category. On her special, Dion said, If God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.

Bocelli performed with 7-time Grammy Award winner singer Al Jarreau on the Night of the Proms tour in Europe. The tour is a series of concerts held yearly in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Spain and usually consists of a mix of pop music and popular classical music. The American singer once described Bocelli has having the most beautiful voice in the world.

Two great voices graced the stage in 2008 at the 50th Grammy Awards when Bocelli joined Josh Groban in singing the single The Prayer. Interestingly, Groban first sang the song at rehearsal with Celine Dion as a stand-in for a sick Bocelli in 1998. Bocelli and Grobans Grammy performance was a tribute to Luciano Pavarotti, one of operas greatest who had recently passed away.

The Italian tenor performed with R&B artist Mary J. Blige on The Oprah Winfrey Show. The unlikely pair performed What Child Is This on Oprahs Holiday Music Extravaganza in 2009, the year Bocelli released his first holiday album My Christmas. In 2010, he would collaborate with Blige again, along with David Foster, at the 52nd Grammy Awards to sing Bridge over Troubled Water to raise awareness for the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
