Get Paloma Picasso’s Style
Happy 62nd birthday to Paloma Picasso! She’s more than just the daughter of the legendary Spanish painter, Pablo Picasso. She is a businesswoman, jewelry designer and fashionista who is often praised for her beauty and impeccable style.
In honor of her special day, let’s take a look at a few of Ms. Picasso’s fashion go-tos. We’ve also suggested a few items perfect for channeling your inner Paloma. -
Statement Jewelry
Picasso began creating jewelry in the late 1960s when she was a costume designer in Paris. Now, she has a line for Tiffany & Co., and is often seen wearing her own work. Some of her pieces bold, incorporating various gemstones and mixed colors. Others are more understated, like her sterling silver X earrings are from her most famous Graffiti collection. They’re simply gorgeous and affordable.

Black & White
Picasso is very fond of black and white designs. In fact, her first wedding, to director Rafael Lopez-Cambil was completely black-and-white themed.
To give your wardrobe a touch of Paloma, try this black-and-white pattered wrap dress by Donna Ricco. It’s perfect and trendy for spring.

Exotic Prints
Bold patterns are really in this season. Ms. Picasso, who is not afraid to make to make a fashionable splash, struck a pose wearing a dress with cheetah-printed sides. The longer length, collar and touch of black made for the perfect union of classy and playful.
If you’re not sure about wearing a jungle-esque dress but would still like to give your outfit a fun, exotic boost, accessorize with an animal print spring scarf, like this one from JCPenny.

Bright Red Lipstick
Picasso, who describes herself as a “strong woman,” really knows how to go bold. Fire-engine-red lipstick has been one of her fashion staples since age 17.
MAC Lipstick will give you a bright pout just like Paloma’s—Russian Red is her go-to shade.
