Happy Birthday Sarah Jessica Parker

Leave it to Sarah Jessica to toss on a casual pair of stilettos for an afternoon out on the town.There's a lot going on in this outfitthe studded blue hobo and matching pashmina make for some pretty bright accents against her nautical striped T-shirt. Plus, the navy velour blazer and a wool hat...Okay, so we wouldn't dare try to pull this style off, but 'dressed up meets dressed down' isso her, and that's why we love it.

Ms. Parker hits the New York City Streets in a gorgeous nude gown. The actress usually isn't known for her quiet outfit choices, which is why we appreciate that the muted hue of this dress still has a touch of shimmer. We're a bit uncertain about the long beaded necklace paired with the other silver pieces, but to be quite honest, we're too distracted by her biceps to say anything.

This may be as casual as Sarah Jessica gets, but doesn't she still look great? As she travels to and from her hotel, she matches her big silver tote to the stripes on her sweater. Her yellow scarf keeps the comfy outfit cheery and fun.

SJP loves to play with fun designer pieces, but don't think for one second she can't rock a simple, classic look. Here, she just tucked a black top into a pair of fitted khakis. On goes a long black trench coat, a contrasting white scarf and a big pair of sunglasses. For an even more sophisticated look, she slicked her hair back into a ballerina bun.

But of course, in standard Sarah Jessica Parker fashion, she still added a dash of signature flair with her oversized snakeskin bag.

Ms. Parker certainly has no qualms about making a bold and bright statement on the red carpet. She even matches the backdrop here!
