She was born in Japan.
Her father, a sergeant in the U.S. Air Force, was serving in the northern city of Fukuoka when Victoria was born on Jan. 3, 1950. Like most military families, they spent a lot of time moving around Victoria lived in London, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, Florida and Georgia. Along the way, she got started in entertainment, acting in her first commercial when she was five. I grew up thinking, she once told an interviewer, that whatever I wanted to do, I could do.

Her 21-year marriage came to a very nasty end.
Principal has unhesitatingly said that 2006 was the worst year of my life. Thats when her 21-year marriage to Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Harvey Glassman ended amid a flurry of accusations about potential violence, domestic abuse, drunkenness and psychiatric evaluations. After filing for divorce, Principal hired round-the-clock security guards, saying that they were necessary because of Glassman, who had been arrested in 2002 because of a fight at the couples home. I am saddened, Glassman said in a statement, that Victoria is using the incident of my arrest in an effort to gain leverage in our divorce proceedings. I have never physically abused my wife. My arrest was a consequence of her abuse of alcohol that resulted in her detention in the Cedars Sinai ER for psychiatric evaluation. Victoria is not, nor has she ever been, in danger because of me. Since then, Principal has stayed single.
