George Clooney of ER fame has said he won't run for President in 2012 after all. Seen here at the 68th Venice Film Festival for the screening of the political thriller "The Ides of March," he is focused now on his acting career and his well-known humanitarian work. According to the AP, Clooney says he is disillusioned with the U.S. political scene.
"At the moment, cynicism seems to be winning over idealism," the AP quotes him as saying. He not only stars in "Ides" (along with Marisa Tomei, Paul Giamatti, Ryan Gosling, and Evan Rachel Wood), but he was also part of the writing team and directed the film.
