The highest-paid actress in Hollywood isnt thinking about when shes going to make another movie.
Instead, Sandra Bullock, whos just gone through several months that could be called stressful at best, is focused on her adopted baby, Louis Bardo Bullock -- or, as she calls him, her little Cajun cookie.
He likes to dance and celebrate, Bullock told Matt Lauer in an interview on The Today Show. You know what? I got blessed. I got lucky. Hes extraordinary.
For too long earlier this year, Bullock herself seemed unlucky, the unwilling focus of attention following her breakup with Jesse James, her husband of five years, just ten days after she won an Academy Award for her role in The Blind Side. For a while, it seemed as though every day brought another story about Jamess repeated infidelities.
But Bullock took the high road and had no comment -- except through her surprise adoption of Louis. Although the adoption had taken place in January 2010, two months before Bullocks breakup with James, there had never been any news about it until she made the announcement in June.
And in her interview with Today, Bullock revealed a steely side in explaining how she kept the adoption secret for so many months.
... I was blessed with the same friends Ive had since before things got really special for me and blessed in life, she said. And when things get bad, theyre still the same friends. They know if they screw up, theyre not coming on the next vacation, Im not going to baby-sit their kids. I will cut them, I will take them down.
