Will prescription drugs show up on a blood test?
So last night my friend gave me some Ritalin and Xanax. We snorted it and I do not have a prescription for it, but she does. It was my first and last time doing that. My issue is that I have a blood test tomorrow morning and they are checking my cholesterol and things like that, because heart disease runs in my family. Will the drugs show up in the blood test tomorrow?

if a condition like that runs in your family the last thing you want to be doing is things like that!! my dad has heart disease and he is going through a really long drawn out horrible death... do you want that for yourself. ?? hun get some new friends seriously i had friends like that in the past and even though i thought i was happy since leaving them and getting a respectable crowd of friends i look back and see compared to now i am miserable!! yes it is possible to see that in your blood test. but it depends on how advanced the test is. if they just check for the heart disease it may not show up but if they are doing a full health screening then it highly likely could show up. hope every thing goes ok. and i hope you listen to what i have said. all the best :) x
He He boc, It won't be tested for drugs your doc. is looking for ur cholesterol, red blood count, white blood count the only way they would test for drugs if it was ordered by the court or probation officer. A drug test cost some money and it has to be on the blood order that he gave to you to take to the place where ur getting ur blood drawn and it will say cbc 18 and if testing for drugs it will say ( DRUG SCREEN ) so i think ur ok. Good Luck

What is High Cholesterol

You have this condition if there are high levels of cholesterol in the blood. There are three parts of cholesterol:

  • Low density lipoproteins (LDL)-known as bad cholesterol. It causes build up of cholesterol and other fats in the blood vessels. High LDL levels can cause artery and heart disease.
  • High density lipoproteins (HDL)-known as good cholesterol. It can remove cholesterol and other fats from the blood vessels. High levels of HDL can protect against heart disease.
  • Triglycerides-a common form of fat in the body. Often elevated in people with diabetes or certain genetic conditions.
  • Particles-proteins associated with certain types of cholesterols in the body. These may be a better signal about your risk of developing disease in the blood vessels.
