Nipped? Tucked? Lifted?

Nipped? Tucked? Lifted?

Welcome to the ThirdAge Cosmetic Surgery group!
To kick this group off, let me ask you some questions:
1. Have you nipped, tucked, lifted?
2. Why or why not?
3. If it's something you're considering, what procedure/s are at the top of your list?

I'll answer first . . .
1. No; I've never nipped, tucked, or lifted.
2. Personally, I don't feel I need it just yet and don't want to start the process too early for fear of having to be re-nipped, re-tucked, and re-lifted again and again. And, as for my body, I'd like to give exercise a try first. (If only I could get myself to the gym.)
3. I would, however, consider a procedure or two. Among them, Botox. A slight nose job. Something to puff up my skinny lips.
No matter what your stance is on cosmetic surgery, the industry is growing like mad and more and more people -- yes, men included -- are turning to the knife . . . and to lasers.

What about you?
Take a look at the starter questions and share your thoughts!

sagging jawline

My 3 year old granddaughter began playing with the skin under my chin. I was shocked when I looked in the mirror to see that I look like a turkey. Does anyone know how I can find a good plastic surgeon?

lifted and look younger and rested

I am delighted with the results of my facelift. Not only do I look younger and refreshed, I do NOT have the pulled too tight lift.

Am going to a 50th reunion and sent a photo for the album. I got an email back saying I look just like I did 50 years ago. Not really true, but I sure do look better than I did 5 years ago.

Pick your surgeon carefully. The ones all over tv and advertising in magazines or have articles placed for them by their PR people are not the best. My surgeon does not even have a website, has never advertised, but has other plastic surgeons from all over the world coming to him for their facelift.

Lifting sagging jowls...\

I'm 68, and all of a sudden my face has fallen. I've never really considered a face lift before, but now I hate to look in the mirror. Has anyone had a face lift? I need to know how horrible the recovery is -- and what horrible things can come of it...
Thank you...

Tummy tucked

I had a tummytuck about 8 years ago. After having children and being divorced several times, I was very selfconscious over my sagging abdominal skin when nude. My results was not as good as I expected and (I understand that is typical) but it was a great improvement and I have no regrets.
Now I am thinking of having a lower facelift/necklift but want to hear other's experiences. I'll soon be 62 and like to think I am not the typical 60-something:-). I feel great and have no health issues except a little arthritis. My face just does not fit with how I feel on the inside...

tummy tuck

Anyone had a tummy tuck or liposuction in the past? How were the results and were you or someone you know, happy with them? Were there any problems medically soon or thereafter?
I'm a very small bone person, however my waist is very large; it has always been this way, even when I was a size 3. I'm now a size 7 with a waist of 38 inches and it seems to be getting worse as I'm getting older! (45) I'm afraid of any future complications... any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You so much & Happy New Year~

Yes, I want cosmetic surgery, after fully researching all cons

I've had 7 foot surgeries, but no cosmetic surgery as of yet. I would like to have a breast lift, tummy tuck and thighs thinned. I no that I must achieve goal weight first and presently, I am morbidly overweight. However, with my new job, I have lost 6" in the waist and, if only I could find energy to exercise regularly.

Considering a procedure for ptosis - upper eye

I am 52 and am in pretty good shape overall, yet my eyes are beginning to show the age. I have the upper eyelid sag and some slight pouchiness, giving me a tired look at times. I have seen the before and after pictures of this procedure and it looks promising. I am otherwise happy with my face and the aging process. I would love to hear from other women who have undergone this operation. Are you pleased with the results? Was it worth it?

Thanks, T

I did it. Love the results.

I did it. Love the results. No pain involved, just swelling and bruising which after 3rd week was almost resolved. I started wearing cover-up make up 10 days after and cut long bangs, so I would look o.k. during healing time.
