The trick, he says, is to know your eye shape. For deep-set eyes, he recommends applying a light shade over the brow to bring out the eyelids. Then use a slightly darker shade along the lash line, from the center of the lid to the outer corner -- but not in the crease itself.
For round or almond eyes, Longo advises applying a pale color across the whole lid, from lash line to brow, then using a darker color to create a soft, horizontal "V" around the outer corner of the eye. Hooded eyelids can be best dealt with by using a light color to the lower eye area and brow bone, then a mid-toned shade on the whole crease, in a wide arc.
Longo says droopy eyes can be treated like hooded eyes. Also line the lower lid with an eyeliner brush dipped in dark shadow, extending the line slightly beyond the corner of the eye -- but don't line the top lid.
