Bethel Pointe Foundation purchased Hill Farm Estate from the former owners in July 2007. About 50 elderly residents continue to be cared for in the main residence consisting of the two story mansion with two story east and west wings of rooms. There are also a few detached apartments for independent living in the old carriage house. The public areas including the living room, dining areas, and the back patio and spacious grounds are quite pleasant. There are development plans to significantly change the property by 2012 with townhomes, villas, and apartments, along with assisted living, depending on a successful marketing effort. The new owners have invested in renovations to the physical facilities and have replaced a significant percentage of the staff. However, most residents have remained and appreciate the services and personalized care. All residents are mobile, but many use walkers and wheelchairs. The residence is licensed for assisted living only, not as a skilled nursing facility.
