My aunt used to be a resident in the alztimer unit of chesapeake place. Our family is very displeased on the care she was given during her time there and we would not reccomend this organization to our worst enemy. My aunt sustained many bruises while there and we were never given any explanation. She also was exposed to a freshly painted room where she digested some paint and had to be rushed to the emergency room. She was very lucky, however we were never given any explanation. Finally, my aunt had a very expensive chair in her room that was stolen when she had a short hospital stay. My uncle even carved her initials in the bottom of the chair. No one at chesapeake place knows anything about the chair or what happened to it. My 82 yearold mother has been trying for months to get this resolved with little consideration or concern from anyone at chesapeake place. It seems we now have to put this in the hands of the legal system. We are also considering contacting the Media. I'm sorry, but I cannot honestly reccomend this facility to anyone. I only wish there was something someone could do. Our elderly are at the mercy of these huge companies who do not seem to care !!!!!!
