My MIL has been here for about 5 months, and so far we have been less than impressed with her care (or lack thereof). We were under the impression that it was to be ASSISTED living, but the staff seems content to do the bare minimum. Every time we go, her hearing aid batteries are dead, and when we ask her what she did that day, she says "I sat in my room." We were assured when she moved in that residents were encouraged to and ASSISTED with participating in activities, and yet even though I have complained multiple times, nothing has improved. The infuriating part is that every time we visit her, which is several times a week, the majority of the staff is just sitting around a table. My MIL is absolutely miserable and my husband and I are now searching for a better option. No one should have to spend the last days of their life like that.?
