Horrible Experience

On the day of our mother's move into the center, we were met with resistance. What we were told and what actually happened on the day of her welcome to the center was completely different. Instead of welcoming her and making this process delightful and easy for her and us, we got a harsh unwanted (not-so) welcome. It was truly a nightmare. The administrator kept looking at us strangely and treated us like we were ignorant. The only curteous staff that we encountered appeared to be the one's in the dining room. We do not recommend this senior center. This should be a place of calm and relief not a place of the unsure. I expected my mother to be handled in a respectable way. The thought of leaving her in a place where the staff made us and her feel unwanted would have been cruel. It's important to take care of our elderly. If we are unable to, we must secure a place that will feel just like home for them. This place was not it.
