I am a former employee, not dissgruntled,or angry. Its been several years, since I worked there. I have a family member currently residing there, it was not by my choice, a stranger took my family member there, and Green Meadows recognizes the stranger as thier family, and have discounted her real family , to the point of unhooking the phone(in the wall) so she can not receive calls. We as here family are literally afraid to go there, as patient has dimentia, and Green Meadows has poisoned patients mind, meaning that the facility has convinced patient, that her family members are her enemies Our family member has fallen and been hospitalized several times, Said family member, has another patient, who is constantly in familly members room, at all hours of the day and night My family member has made claims of sexual assault, by both staff and patients,Green meadows went so far as to retain a state gaurdian,so that patient nor thier family can make any decisions, including moving her to another facility, or letting patient live with family, if she so chooses. This was done strictly for financial reasons, as they do not want to lose a paying patient. IF YOU VALUE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS RIGHTS AS A HUMAN BEING

Terrible Facility

My father-in-law was in this facility for several months. Their idea of "activities" was throwing a box of puzzles on the table and then walking away. Most of the staff acted like they had never dealt with dementia patients before because they would yell at the residents. I should say that there were some employees there that were good but they were few and far between. Even the head nurse was yelling at one of the residents one day when we were there. Clearly, she had no clue how to deal with someone with dementia. They are also careless with medication. For example, there was a point where they contacted the family to report that my father-in-law’s blood pressure medicine needed to be refilled (which was alarming since it had just been refilled). Come to find out, they had been giving him his meds wrong and were doubling his medication. His blood pressure was dangerously low. Thank God my brother-in-law realized what was going on and straightened them out. The food was mediocre at best. A former worker there told us that the facility would serve the good food to the other section of the facility and serve the “left over” to the dementia section. The facility was simply a "warehouse" housing the residents. When my father-in-law was first there, it was much better. I'm not sure if they changed management or what happened, but it went downhill rapidly. We moved my father-in-law to another facility and he received wonderful care. If I were someone placing my loved one in a memory care facility, I would think long and hard before placing them at Green Meadows in Dover (Emeritus).
