I am from out of state and needed to place my family members emergently, w/ one needing a skilled nursing facility initially and the other needing assisted living. It was so nice they could be under one roof and see each other daily until they were able to be together in assisted living. I have visited a number of times this past year and am amazed at how patient and kind the staff are to the residents. I have never once been treated rudely, on the contrary, I felt like they bent over backwards to be helpful to me. Yes, assisted living can be expensive, but I found it pretty much in keeping w/ other facilities that offer this level of care. I did scout out a number of them and felt the most comfortable when I walked in to Brighton Gardens. I have just returned from a visit and did not want to call it a night before I finally wrote this long overdue review! Oh yes...a staff member who had changed the deodorizer in the halls asked me to let him know my opinion of it. :) I forgot to tell him, but it was nice!!! Attention is paid to details like this!

The staff is very rude, nurses, CNAs, doctors and physical therapists do not listen to the resident's complaints regarding the pain they feel. They make you feel as though you are bothering them and that they do not care. I would not allow my dog to reside in this facility. Residents do not get individualized care and their needs usually go unmet. I am seriously considering filing a complaint with the BBB. Lastly, trying to find out job titles, job responsiblities and a the name of the individual in each position is impossible. That information should be public knowledge and provided to the residence and their families.
