Reviews:

My mother had been in an area nursing home in Dunbar and we were very upset with her care. I just happened to find Candlelight Cottage in the yellow page listings and went over to visit. I was so pleased to see the residents all dressed, clean and sitting around in one of the 2 sitting rooms. My husband and I went back that evening to speak with the owner and spent almost 2 hours with Dee. To say the least we moved my mom that week. The first day she had some problems adjusting( she has dementia ) but the second day she seemed to feel at home. No matter what time of day I visit,I have been pleased with her care. Yesterday she was out of sorts and in pain ( she had fallen 4 times at the other facility and injured her back) and Monja put her in a recliner , brought her a pain pill and a pillow for her back. Then she brought her ice cream with chocolate syrup and the newspaper. I would like to have care like that. I can't say enough nice things about this place. I no longer worry every day and night about my mother. I know she is taken care of here.
