Compare Camelot of Broussard to Nearby Facilities
Reviews:Before doing any research, I thought that Camelot of Broussard was the premier Nursing Home in the area. After all, it is a beautiful faclity with lush shrubbery that composes a really pleasant landscape. The staff is nice and friendly. All appearances indicate a well managed facility. However, you must remember that this is a profit based business. Also, that old saying "that looks ain't everything" pops into mind here. Their claim as to being one of the top facilities in the area is totally false. But don't take my word for it. Simply go to medicare.gov on the Internet and click on Comparison of Nursing Homes in the area. I did. I compared Nursing Homes within a 50 mile radius and was rather surprised on how low they scored. Staffing was one area where most of the Nursing Homes scored very low. This involves the number of hours staff works with patients. It would appear that these facilties attempt to increase profit by just meeting minimal standards for care. Isn't that something like "cutting your nose off to spite your face?" Please do not rely on my opinion, but go to medicare.gov on the Internet and check it out for yourself.
