I have a relative living at Helping Hand, and he has had the opposite experience. I have never seen or heard of any feces on the walls for days at a time. I can not believe the staff, that I know, would allow this. What questions did you ask before you moved your relative to Helping Hand? I have a great realtionship with all of the staff, and yes they do give my relative some of his pills at different times than he took them at home, but his doctor is well aware of this and has no problems with it. With enough notice they have his pills ready if we decide to take him out to eat and they could not be more helpful. Please do not base your opinion of Helping Hand on this one review because the people I have talked to like living there.?

I had a family member at Helping Hand for over a year. She may not know exactly what pills she got with each meal but she knew the colors, shapes, and number of pills for each meal. She got the wrong pills, not the right number of the right pills, etc on many occasions. They seemed unconcerned. She was a diabetic, but got fruit cocktail in heavy (sugar) syrup at least daily. They claimed to have a dietitian, but we never saw one and meals were not customized for individual needs. Her bathroom had urine and feces on the walls for days at a time, and was unusable much of the time because of the mess. Complaints went nowhere. Who wants to live in a place like that? She was so depressed that she mostly just wanted to die. We moved her out of that place to somewhere new and she is like a new person. She is happy and pleasant now. We are still trying to get our deposit back, but every time we call the owner is "out" and they have "no way to get a hold of him". He does not return calls or messages. He does not answer his home phone either. Find somewhere else, you will be happier than at this place. Would not let my dog live here.
