I thought this place was so pretty and beautiful and nice :). It was originally called The Grand Court and that it was! Each senior resident had their own little apartment with a back closed in porch and you could choose between independent living with not much help or assisted living with alot of help. Everything was so nice and I'm glad my aunt was there. Tv's in alot of sitting areas and there's a library with tv and piano. It's so nice and the price is not so bad comparing them to other nursing homes. Maintenance was nice and really cared. And some residents even were allowed pets if they were able to care for them. So nice :).Each hall section that residents lived down had it's own fancy name. I thought that was cool. The only things I would say negative is that my aunt was into reading her horoscope in the newspaper so i brought it to her once in a while and some aid worker there was putting my aunt down saying your'e not suppose to read that stuff because it's not of the lord and such. I understand this lady's views but I just think it was wrong to say. Whatever will make my 80 something year old aunt happy instead of miserable in her last days is what I was interested in. She already didn't want to be away from her home....why make it worse by putting her down for reading something? And the fact that she could still read so well and have humor was also what I was glad about. Another thing is that one of the doctors who visited her in the begining I was not happy with because he was not encouraging enough for her. Our family and the staff members were looking at her younger pictures and telling her how pretty it was and the doctor stood there and told my aunt "You used to look like that?" "things change!" We know things change....but he could have said something positive! That pretty much was rude to me
