the posting from Dec 2011 is very much so true. Every word of it. I have heard nothing but complaints from the people living in the houses. The house reeks of mildew and doe not accommodate the number of people they have in the houses. There are so many laws being broken and mistreatment. its unreal why anyone would stay there long-term. i felt like i walked into a crack house. They just want to dig into your pockets. well i didn't have much so sadly i couldn't stay more then a few months. Thanks goodness I am back home with my family. it would have been a slow death there. yuck is all i can say anymore.

I think the previous review might be for another facility. My stay here was very nice. I stayed for just about a month after surgery, while trying to recover. I had a wonderfull experience. The staff were very friendly, the place was cleaned daily, and the food was actually pretty good. I would reccomend this assisted living to anyone I know.

I lived in one of the houses at Harvester Residential Care for over 1 year. During the time I was there the house had no insulation, no closets in the bedrooms, and mold in the basement. The house was in horrible condition and looked like the slums. One of toilet's water had hot water than ran and measured 140 degrees. This went on for more than 1 year. Staff was asked numerous times to fix this problem, but never happened. The refrigerator was very small and inadequate for the number of people living in this house (5). It was also very old and did not keep the temps cold enough. This was also reported many times and never fixed. The sidewalk was broken up and in poor condition which was a tripping hazard for many of the elderly that lived there. In the mean time I have relocated and am very happy I did so.
