The Jefferson is the "top shelf" of retirement communities. It is right in the center of Ballston in Arlington, one block from the metro, with parks, fountains, restaurants, a mall, and other amenities very close by. Assigned underground parking, close by farmer's markets and weekly craft fairs make living at the Jefferson a wonderful new adventure for all the residents.The apartments/condominiums are beautiful, all have balconies, the dining room serves excellent meals and the number of clubs keeps every senior active and excited to be a part of the Jefferson community. The staff is exceptional too. Those who live at the Jefferson feel privileged to be part of this awesome senior community.

My grandmother lives in The Jefferson. It is conveniently located near the mall, restaurants and even the metro so she still can still have outside independent access to those places even though she no longer drives. Although it is very expensive, they do provide daily meals (one free per day), transportation to doctor appointments (within a certain distance), and a huge amount of social activities.
