My family and I have been patients of Dr. Abbott for at least 10 years. We even left our former dentist to follow him to this new practice. My husband and I have had the same jobs for over 10 years with the same insurance. We are both civil servants. My son who is 19 and a student was scheduled to have his wisdom teeth pulled. On the morning of the scheduled extraction, a dental assistant called and said they did not have my son't insurance confirmation. The assistant said that we could be charged $1,800.00 or more. As the visit was that morning, my husband canceled. The assistant never mentioned a $245.00 cancellation fee. We were told Dr. Abbott made these decisions. We have called several times regarding this only to be told we would be called back. They never call back.
