Reviews & Ratings of Karen A Bacsik
I had appoinments for myself and my 18 yr old daughter. I was unemployed at the time, so I canceled my own appt, explaining to them I could not afford both. They seemed very understanding & even offered to do my appt anyway & let me pay a little at a time. I refused, stating in my position even the one appt would be a lot to spend right now. SO in my daughter went, without me, as she was 18. A couple weeks later I get a bill from the lab they use for $358!! I called Dr Bascik's office to fins out what this was all about & I was informed that they ran a battery of tests on my daughter!! When I told them she was 18, I was paying the bill & they shold have consulted me, I was told she is 18 & was aware these test cost extra. i asked my daughter & she told me they never told her they would cost extra. ASIDE from the fact that they took advantage of her inexperience, they KNEW I was unemployed & could not afford this sort of bill. If I canceled MY appt because I couldn't afford, what made her think I could afford a bunch of unnecessary tests?? Dr Bascik herself was the one that told me my daughter knew of the added cost. NEVER again will I go there & NEVER would I recommend her to anyone. When the almighty dollar becomes more important than the patient, it's time to move on to another doctor.
