We recently took our 17 year old child to Dr. Arcangelo based on his reputation for working with adolescents with issues of Attention Deficit and behavior. After five sessions with our child, I met with him for advise, feedback and direction, and was told by him "Sorry, I simply cannot help your child", with the implication that my child was beyond help. No recommendations, insight or feedback or referrals were offered by Arcangelo. While at one time he may have been a good doctor, it appears that Arcangelo is burnt out in his profession, and sadly his burnout causes clients further emotional distress. Ironic, as you would think one trained in this area, would have some ability for personal insight and reflection. Arcangelo should retire as he violates the basic ethical standards of a doctor, and cerainly in our case did harm us at a time when we were most vulnerable. Shame on this Doc.
