Terrible judge of charactor! We went to see this "therapist" when my ex wife and I were getting a divorce. My ex and her family had turned my son against me. When he used to jump in my arms when I picked him up from school he started physically punching me and yelling at me. Her family left a message on my phone telling me I could not see my son and that he was in good hands. I explained all of this to Ms. Gonzalez, i was explained how irresponsible my ex was and that she was living with another man and we were still married at the time. I explained how my ex's behavior was not a good example for my son. I requested more than the every other weekend that is typical for fathers. When I explained that I needed to spend more time with my son to repair the damage that her and her family had done to our relationship I was told "He shouldn't be forced to go with me if he didn't want to.". So for the past 2 years I am lucky if he stays with me 2 nights out of 2 months. Last year he barely passed 5th grade and is struggling in 6th. He is missing 10 homework assignments and he finally tells me on the phone that wants to spend a weekend with me and his mom is yelling at him "NO Your Grounded! You Have Too Much Work To Do!" He starts to cry and I ask him to hand the phone to his mom. I explain to her that I will help him with his homework and remind her what the therapist (Ms. Gonzalez) said about being forced to go with me and our agreement that when he wants to go with me he should be allowed. Her exact words "I Don't Care What the Therapists Says! He's Not Going!". Thanks Ms. Gonzalez you have completely ruined my ability to have any kind of positive influence in my son's life because you were too naive or too ignorant to recognize an unfit and unstable parent. As a result my son will probably continue to struggle with school, learn how to be selfish, self -centered and financially irresponsible and morally bankrupt. Yeah I know my ex is the one really responsible, but Ms. Gonzalez had an opportunity to intervene and treated all my evidence regarding my ex's shortcomings as sour grapes on my part. I wonder how many other children and father relationships she has demolished as a result of her close minded view of fathers.
