Hair flips, flirty giggles and mini skirts are perfectly acceptable in our 20s but as we start to enter into our grayerahem, goldenyears, it's important for midlife daters to adopt new come-hither tools. Culled from top flirting experts, check out these three age-appropriate rules to attract the attention you crave.
Tip #1 Keep it subtle
Whether it be a slight thigh graze or simple smile, less is definitely more for those in the 50 and over bracket.
"People over 50 are usually not as demonstrative in public," Susan Rabin, author of How to Attract Anyone, Anytime, Anyplace: The Smart Guide to Flirting, tells Happen magazine.
Rabin advises women to replace PDAs with almost touches, such as resting your head on his shoulder or picking a small piece of lint of his jacket."
The same applies to your attire, where indication, not flaunting, is a more appealing bet.
"There is not much to be gained by the skirt hike in this bracket," Rabin says. "Same thing goes with leaning in to flash cleavage, wearing something see-through/too tight or other obvious sexual signals."
Instead, Rabin suggests wearing a pendant that draws attention to a womans dcolletage.
"It still draws a man's attention to her bosom, which is a turn-on for the typically visual male, but it does so without a direct 'look at my chest' message," says Rabin.
