Question
I think I have a constipation issue!?
Ok so for the last two years I have been having a problem.. I start to get very bloated and have real bad diarrhea. But whats weird is when i wake up in the morning i only throw up one time sometimes two and then im fine. Its starting to get a little worse to where when i take nausea pills laxatives and even miralax i still throw up. It is starting to worry me. I am on Lexapro, Buspar,Concerta. I know the two only cause bloating but could this be a sign of constipation or could this be a big medical issue that should be taken care of?

The first line of defence is a proper diet. You need vegetables, whole grain, and fruit. If constipated, try prunes or prune juice. If you need capsules or laxative for short term improvement while diet is improving, there is soluble powder to add to water, psyllium capsules, magnesium tablets, Vitamin C, and mineral oil. All are available without a prescription. Your problem might be due to stress or you may have IBS. At your next physical exam, speak to your physician. As far as vomiting in the morning, that is not normal. Considering the length of time of the problems as reported, start with the physician and get appropriate referrals and testing. Drink plenty of water. Eat cut up carrots, eliminate fried foods, try dairy free, and don't eat within three hours of going to bed. Your problem should be addressed so you can lead a normal life without these unpleasant symptoms. I am not familiar with the medications above, so if you are concerned, ask the pharmacist about the side effects of those mentioned above.
