Depression is a mental disorder which has causes that are largely unknown. Several unproven theories exist as to the causes of depression. It it widely believed that the main cause of depression is a chemical imbalance between nerve transistors in the brain.Depression is normally defined as an aversion to activity and a general low mood. It has been described as a "sad" feeling, although a depressed person can still experience an entire range of emotions with "sad" being the most prevalent.
