Courteney Cox and long-time husband David Arquette revealed yesterday that they have split. They met and fell in love on the set of the movie, Scream. Theyve been married for 11 years and have a 6 year-old daughter, Coco. Apparently, their separation took place months ago.
In a joint statement the couple said:
The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply."
Blah, blah, blah, likely story.
Could the separation have anything to do with Coxs recent success on Cougar Town? Are we about to witness a case of life imitating art? Or are the rumors about David hooking up with a former cocktail waitress true? If so, tsk, tsk. David, tsk, tsk.
We always feel bad when long-term couples break up, but wed be lying if we said we werent a little excited to see Cox and BFF Jennifer Aniston out on the prowl together.
