Speak Out: OK to Ban Nudity?

The only thing female dancers have on in Kandy's club is the music. Officials in Erie, Pa., want the place shut and have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to reinstate a ban on public nudity.

The club owner says nude dancing is protected by the First Amendment to the Constitution. What's your opinion?

Pennsylvania's top court last year reversed the community's ordinance banning public nudity, saying it "unconstitutionally burdened free speech." The club owner says the city's bid to reinstate the ordinance is just a ploy to put him out of business.

Should nude dancing be considered a constitutionally protected form of free speech? Or should the town be allowed to ban such acts as a guardian of public morals? What's your opinion?

Speak Out and voice your opinion in the box below.
