There are 22.4 million of us, but many of us feel pretty alone.
Each week, we spend anywhere from four to 40 or more hours caring for an elderly person we love. Whether we're picking up prescriptions, helping with housework, or just sharing meals, the hours can add up.
Fact is, one in four U.S. households contains at least one caregiver.* Try this assessment quiz to find out if you're a caregiver, too, and to find resources appropriate for your situation.

*According to a recent survey by the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC); the NAC defines a caregiver as anyone age 18 or older who provides unpaid assistance to a relative or friend who is age 50 or older. An NAC scale describes five levels of family caregiving. Each successive level means higher degrees of responsibility from the caregiver, from a few hours of personal care a week to round-the-clock supervision, as well as increased amounts of caregiver stress.
