Secrets for Marital Excitement

I just retired, and I deserve some fun.
You do deserve to have fun when you retire, but examine your motives for trying to make an affair part of your "fun," suggests psychologist Ed Dreyfus, author of "Someone Right For You". Are you planning to replace the feelings of importance you enjoyed in the workplace with the adoring gaze of a younger partner? If so, you'll probably repeat the behavior until you resolve your feelings about retirement. That's a very destructive spiral.

Don't put your marriage at risk to resolve your retirement issues. Tell your spouse that you've been fantasizing about an affair, but you want to have that affair with him or her. If you are tender and caring about sharing this wish, it could be the beginning of a new and wonderful relationship--with your spouse!
