Load
Fee that some mutual funds charge when you buy or sell shares in the fund. A fee charged when you buy shares is called a front-end load, a fee charged when you sell shares is called a back-end load, and an ongoing annual fee is called a level load. See also no-load fund and 12b-1 fees.
