What Do We Do With The House? |

I want a second house
Jim and Jane Bullard didn't need to do any geographical research to find a place to buy their second home. The town where they'd been skiing for years, Steamboat Springs, Colorado, suited them just fine. "It's amazing how popular I've gotten since moving here," says Bullard, a retired doctor who often plays host to his three children and their grandchildren who find the new house a convenient place to stay for their ski vacations.
The Bullards had originally bought a townhouse but upgraded to a four-bedroom house when they found that the frequent visitors required more room. He found the house through a realtor friend--Dave High of Coldwell Banker--who had been purposely keeping an eye out for new homes. Bullard, 67, now divides his time between Steamboat Springs and his old house in Decorah, Iowa. But Colorado now feels just as much like home to him, he says.
