About Brain Boosters
Hello and Welcome to our Tech Brain Boosters!
Finally, you can stop searching for answers to basic computer and Internet questions. At the Tech Channel, you'll find straightforward answers that suit your needs. Why? Because at ThirdAge it's our goal to have the Tech Channel work for you.
And as the ThirdAge Technology Channel Manager, it's my job to make you feel at ease with your computer through our simple-to-follow tutorials and resources -- all of it provides clear explanations and step-by-step guidance. Here are some important starting points where you can begin:
1. What are "Brain Boosters"?
Brain Boosters are 5-minute tutorials that teach essential computer and Internet skills for everyone from the complete newbie to someone who wants to expand skills.
2. How do they work?
Each booster takes you through lessons step-by-step with clear diagrams. They are designed as exercises, so go ahead and actually do the steps. You'll learn lots more by doing than by just reading!
On the right side of all the boosters, you'll find a series of links. The first list is the lessons within that booster. As you work on each lesson, the name of that lesson will be bold and a different color.
The second series of links to helpful resources:
- More Boosters: All the boosters are listed here. This is where you can start any booster, just by clicking on it.
- Tech Terms Dictionary: If you don't know what a word means, look for its definition in our technology dictionary.
- Community Feedback: If you have any questions or ideas for new boosters, please let me know here!
3. How do I start?
Start on the index page, where all the boosters are listed. Click on the one that you'd like to try first!
Above all remember, we're here for you. Our goal is to help you master your computer and the Web. Thanks for joining us!
Sincerely,
Jennifer Glos
