This lesson will teach you how to mark a Web site for future reference using a shortcut known as Bookmarks, in Netscape, and Favorites, in Internet Explorer (IE). These shortcuts will allow you to re-visit pages directly without always having to remember or type in the address. Bookmarks and Favorites are easy to set and use. You can even organize shortcuts into folders that you create and name yourself, just as you might with a filing cabinet.

Both Netscape and IE come with their own set of Bookmarks and Favorites already in place. Most users, however, will add to these default settings.
