To make the ThirdAge Discussions a comfortable place, we have a few "golden rules" we ask everyone to follow. Please abide by them when you're visiting this area.

1. Be courteous. This includes, but is not limited to, refraining from multiple, identical postings (sometimes called "flooding"), posting large images which then slow page download time, and using font styles which disrupt the discussion.

2. Stick to the topic at hand. If you feel there's a need for a new topic that you think other third agers would be interested in, start a discussion within one of the discussion areas.

3. We promote honesty. Please do not register under someone else's name or contribute to a discussion using someone else's name.

4. We aren't trying to sell things here. Please do not post advertisements or any form of promotional literature.

5. We value your words and want to know what you have to say, so please do not contribute copyrighted material to a discussion--unless you hold the copyright.

6. We respect our fellow members. Do not attack or slander other ThirdAge members. Please realize that disagreeing with an idea is different from attacking an individual. Do not post personal attacks. ThirdAge's Discussions are not an appropriate place for personal conflicts.

We reserve the right to remove messages that contain attacks on other members or are disruptive to a discussion. Members who violate the rules will be notified by email. In case of continued violations, we will take appropriate action.

In addition to our Golden Rules, please take this opportunity to reacquaint yourself with the rules you agreed to in the Terms of Service. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor all chat rooms, discussion forums, and bulletin boards. Failure to comply with the Golden Rules or Terms of Service may lead to removal of your messages or termination of your membership.
