Boost Your Creativity wiht Unique Handmade Building Blocks

Remember hours of fun and creative play that wood building block provided when you were a a child? If your kids or grandchildren aren't getting enough hands-on play, then a visit to The Village Blocksmith may bring back some memories.
Peter Dziulak makes his block sets by hand, turning ponderosa pine wood into small squares, rectangles, cones, planks and other pieces that can be put together any number of ways. The blocks come with drawings for basic castles, but the possible structures are limited only by the imagination.
There are no sharp corners or dangerous coatings to hurt a child or make anyone sick -- and the pieces are too big to swallow. Dziulak describes his work as fit for users from 1 to 100, and they make a great desktop toy if you can't bear to give them away.
Because they are handmade, the blocks aren't exactly cheap. A standard set of 62 blocks costs $58 by mail order, including shipping anywhere in North America. The Village Blocksmith does tout his wares and tell the story of the blocks on the Web, but you'll have to order by mail or phone -- he's not quite set up for secure online orders yet.
