Welcome to Games Games Games

Hi,
I'm so happy you dropped into Games Games Games. If you like to play games, you're in the right place!
I'm Jeff Wright, and though I'm the so-called manager of this group (like anyone could "manage" gamers), this is really YOUR group. The members run the place, so you (and you . . . and you . . . and you . . .) are in charge.
Wanna get the ball rolling? Just click "Start a New Discussion" to serve up a shout-out (like, "Anyone for Sudoku?") or ask a question (like "Does anyone know a great municipal golf course in Boise, ID?") or just introduce yourself.
Once you get the hang of things, you'll discover lots of other great features, like the ability to upload files (including pictures) right from your computer.
So come on in, and don't be shy. As Red Green likes to say, "We're all in this together."
Jeff

Backgammon

Thanks for starting us off Jeff...over a year ago...and NO poster other than our fearless leader? For goodness sake people he quoted the legend, ole' "keep your stick on the ice" Red Green. :)
I do wish third age would use a different forums format though. I'm on a number of others and they have many more features, but hey, you got to astart somewhere
So, I'm starting by asking if there are anyother backgammon players out there. ummmm?

mahjong

It's been my favorite game since I 1st saw it on these game sites. I've played all of them and would love to keep on playing some more. So please, at least, for myself , try having more unusally interesting ones. Many times in a million.thanks. Cheeniti

Here's a great game you should know about.

A friend introduced us to a great, simple and always entertaining game. It's called "Man Bites Dog, and you can buy it in book stores and higher-end toy stores. It's one of those games made up of a deck of cards. This is a headline writing game, and while that doesn't sound like a load of laughs, it can get pretty hilarious.
Each player is dealt 5 cards; each card contains a word or phrase, such as "heiress," "D.A.," "steals," "convicts," "thief." You get the idea. You can exchange three cards, and then, with your five cards, create the best headline you can. Each word or phrase has points, and whoever gets to 500 points first, wins. It moves pretty fast, and we have found that even our 9-year-old son gets a kick out of it.
