Keeping memory skills sharp at any age is helpful. One useful tool is an set of online memory games from the Exploratorium's Playing Games With Memory.
The "Memory Solitaire" game is aimed at young students but could help their parents and grandparents remember a birthday, keep track of things and perform other tasks that once came easy. Take two minutes to study 20 pictures, then write down the things you remember.
"Wander Around Your House" is a more challenging game that applies new information to existing memories. Pick 10 places around your house, then imagine each of the 10 items pictured on the Web page in one of those places.
